Barnabas International Announces New Executive Director
February 19, 2023
The Board of Directors of Barnabas International announced today the call of Josh Beck as incoming Executive Director. Barnabas International’s mission is to shepherd the hearts of global servants so that they may carry out their calling to fulfill the Great Commission. Josh, along with his wife Denise, are well suited to its global mission.
Josh and Denise Beck come to us from College Heights Christian Church in Missouri, where Josh has been serving as the Executive Minister and Missions Minister since 2016. Josh is held in high regard by his church leadership and the congregation of College Heights. The leadership of elders at College Heights has graciously given their blessing to Josh and Denise as they transition in this new role. Prior to serving at College Heights, Josh, Denise and their four children (now all grown) served as global workers in Sudan/South Sudan and Uganda for 5 years, and before that as a local firefighter in their hometown of Joplin, MO. Denise is currently serving as the CEO of Velvet Ashes, an agency formed for the encouragement of women serving in ministry overseas.
Josh is a true shepherd. Throughout his ministry career as a missionary, field team leader, missions pastor and executive pastor, Josh has demonstrated his passion for the lost and his conviction to provide for, guide, and protect those under his care.
Josh is well acquainted with and committed to carrying forward the vision and mission of Barnabas International as we seek to minister to global workers and train global shepherds. He is a humble leader that is grounded in the Word of God and lives out his faith with gentleness and grace.
A transition plan is currently developing as we anticipate Josh assuming the role of Executive Director on July 1, 2023. Much work remains, so please be in prayer for Perry Bradford the current director, the Executive Leadership Team & the Board of Directors as they work closely with Josh over the next several months to provide a smooth transition and assimilation to his new leadership role.
The Board of Directors and staff of Barnabas International wish to express their deepest appreciation and gratitude to Perry & Sandi Bradford for their 29 years of service with Barnabas. Perry has faithfully served as the Executive Director for the past 15 years. Perry and Sandi are looking forward to finishing their term well and entering into a season of discerning what is next in their lifetime of full time Christian service.
In Christ,
Brent Bounds
Chairman, Board of Directors
